Update through June 14, 2005
South parking lot has been striped and final work is being completed on the entrance from 73rd Street. The grass for the south playground is growing well. Grading is complete once again for the northwest turnaround, however, wet weather has prevented the paving. As soon as the site dries, that paving should get completed. Bridge abutments are installed and riprap being placed. Weather permitting, the bridge should be set tomorrow (6/15). The new south addition and the majority of the existing building have been punched by the designers and final adjustments are underway. About 70% of the air-handling units are in operation. Boilers have been started and the balance of the mechanical equipment is being brought online in the next few days. The lower level of the north addition has carpet in most rooms and carpet base is being installed. Still pulling some wires in the corridor and no flooring has taken place in that area yet. Elevator cab is complete and elevator inspection is now scheduled for 7/6. Millwork has been set in the upper level, however, no floor covering is in place on this level as yet. At present, all is on schedule for an on-time opening of this school.

Update through June 3, 2005
Connection from the south parking lot to the street has now been poured along with sidewalk in that area. Topcoat of asphalt has been placed on the south parking lot. Grade preparation continues on the northwest turnaround area. Sidewalk has now been poured in that area and all sidewalks are now complete in the south parking lot also. The bridge for creek crossing is on site and work is ready to commence on the abutments so that it can be set in place. The south addition and existing building are nearing completion with most carpet and floor tile placed. Finish painting is also being finalized. Exterior doors for the south addition are in the process of being hung. Exterior doors for other areas are being prepared for installation. Lower level of north addition has all carpet in the rooms along with all ceiling tile and the majority of the ceiling tile in the corridors has been laid. Finished heads for the sprinkler are being installed at this level. Elevator cab is in process of assembly. Upper level of the north addition has ceiling tile in the rooms. All millwork is set. Still has floor covering to complete. Final touches being done to the floor tile in the restrooms. All plumbing fixtures in the restrooms have been set. Entry lobby has ceiling and lights now in place. Final punch for the new south addition and existing areas should start next week. Southwest playground grass is starting to emerge.
