Update through January 25, 2005

Sheetrock work has started in the new south addition, as well as in areas where it has been disturbed in the existing building. Taping and finish on that sheetrock is scheduled to start later this week. A small area of sprinkler work remains to be completed in the existing building. It should be complete in the next week. Scaffolding and winter protection has been set for the balance of the north wall of the northwest addition and that block is in the process of being laid. Roof joists and roof deck have been set on the majority of the south half of the north addition. Another floor pour for the lower level of the north addition was made today. Work continues on the under floor plumbing for the balance of the first floor. Work continues in the mechanical rooms with equipment being set and wiring and plumbing being installed. The majority of the block work for the west end of the north addition, including the stairwell, has been set, however, focus is now on the north wall so that steel can be set and areas dried-in. Roofing materials have been stocked to the areas of roof deck that have been set and work will start on drying-in those areas as weather permits.

Update through January 14, 2005

Bitter cold has slowed down the erection of steel, however, with the forecast moderating next week that work is expected to resume. Work continues inside the building on plumbing, electrical, and duct work. Sprinkler piping in the existing building and south addition is nearly complete. Interior block walls are being laid in the east end of the lower level north addition, with most walls laid in the mechanical area and underway on the telecom room, storage room and corridor to exit. More area is being prepared for another slab on grade pour in the lower level next week. Scaffold is set for more block work on the west end of the second floor north addition. Some insulation work is now starting in the mechanical plenum, indicating that most of the piping and ducting in that area is nearly complete. Roof deck on the south half of the north addition is now scheduled to be installed early next week. More extensive sheetrock work in the south addition and in some areas of the existing building is scheduled to start next week.

Update through January 7, 2005
Snow and ice have hampered the outdoor progress this week, although approximately 1/3 of the block wall on the north side of the north addition has Been completed. Some steel has been erected on the north addition and that work is expected to resume next week. The slab for approximately 1/3 of the lower level of the north addition has been poured and scaffolding is going in so that interior block work can start next week. Work is underway on the piping in the lower level of the Mechanical Room. Work continues on sprinkler piping throughout the existing building, as well as the electrical and plumbing remodeling. If weather permits, placing of roof deck over portions of the north addition will start next week. Final work is underway on the mechanical duct work for the south addition.
