Jump Start is a week of fun learning opportunities designed to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. This year each group will have an educational theme and will build activities around that theme. We’ll spend mornings gearing up for math, reading, writing and study skills, and afternoons participating in various engaging activities including art, computers and P.E. Please see Extended Day Opportunities for before and after Jump Start.

Click the "Create New Account" button (located above) to set up an individual/family account. Please complete the "New Account Request" form with your information. Please DO NOT begin with a child's account. Once you have completed your information, you may enter all other family members.
Please Note:If you already have an account through our LEARNwest program please use that login information or iff you have already received a user name and password from the West Des Moines Community Education office please DO NOT create another account. If you have questions, please call 633-5001.
Once your account is established, click the "View Class List" or "My Account" button to begin the registration process. All information provided is on a secured server and credit card information is encrypted for your protection.
You may view classes without setting up an account. To view all classes offered, click the "View Class Listings" button. It is easy to find classes of interest; search by class category, class type or class sub-category. Once you find a class of interest, click on the class link to view detailed information about the activity.

- Send your registration form to: Learning Resource Center, C/O Summer of Learning, 3550 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50265-5556
- Register in person at the West Des Moines Community Education office at the Learning Resource Center, 3550 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa. Our office is open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. A drop box is available at the west entrance to deliver registrations before or after hours.
- Fax your completed form with your credit card number and expiration date to (515) 633-5099 between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
- Call in your class registration with your credit card number to (515) 633-5001 between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Please complete the registration form before calling to avoid delays.
