o Events in park so people can get to know one another (sense of small town in big city)

• Offer:

o Wintertime activities (parade)
o Cultural attractions
o After hours art programs for youth and parents
o Community summer theater
o More drama
o Live performance and arts programs
o Affordable arts activities for West Des Moines children
o Concerts
o Intramural tackle football for high school students
o More recreational opportunities
o More swimming programs for toddlers
o Reasonably priced fitness memberships
o Sports for young adults in evenings
o More youth and adult activities
o Nature programs
o More programs like Learnapalooza
o More frequent Parent Universities
o Support groups for addictions, bereavement, widows, etc.
o More classes (craft, dance, health and entrepreneurial)

o Skateboard area
o Place to ride 4-wheelers and dirt bikes
