KIDS WEST participants are discouraged from bringing cell phones to KIDS WEST. Telephones are available and staff members will assist in making all necessary calls. KIDS WEST is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen cell phones. Cell phone use during KIDS WEST may result in confiscation of the phone.
A serious disciplinary problem at KIDS WEST is one in which a child is hampering the smooth flow of the childcare program. This might include a child requiring constant one-on-one attention, inflicting physical or emotional harm to other children, abusing staff or not conforming to the behavior guidelines. The KIDS WEST Program Supervisor reserves the right to suspend a child from KIDS WEST if the child is endangering him/herself, other children or a KIDS WEST staff member.
Please do not send hand held electronics from home. We cannot guarantee the safety of toys and electronics brought from home. Staff will take the toys and electronics brought from home and keep them until the parent arrives for pick-up.
If a child is not able to comply with KIDS WEST behavior guidelines, the Site Team Leader will notify the parents regarding the situation and request that a meeting be arranged to discuss a solution. If the child does not improve his or her behavior, the KIDS WEST Program Supervisor may recommend that childcare services be terminated. Before such a decision is finalized, the Program Supervisor will discuss the situation with the parent(s) and the Site Team Leader in a conference setting. Our goal is to provide quality childcare for all participants with termination of service as a final option for unresolved discipline situations.
