The Learning Resource Center
(LRC) is a community facility used by hundreds of groups every
year. The many different meeting rooms of the LRC are provided
without cost to public, charitable and nonprofit youth groups
from 7:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A building supervisor charge of $16 per hour
(two-hour minimum) is assessed to groups using the LRC after
4:30 p.m. weekdays or anytime on the weekends. Charges for
not-for-profit private interest groups are available.
(Make sure your group understands the following):
Plan Ahead – If you have special
needs, audiovisual needs, easels, microphone, etc., please
request them before your event. Visiting groups must bring
their own easel paper pads and markers.
Remember, while we want to be helpful, we cannot provide
copying, fax and telephone answering services for visiting
groups.
Scheduling the Room – Provide for
adequate time to setup and take down. But don't overestimate
the time, as other groups may need that time. Non-educational
or non-district groups are responsible for their setup.
Cancellations – Cancel your reservation
by 2 p.m. two workdays in advance. If the school district
needs your meeting room, you will be contacted so that other
community space or another suitable date and time are found.
Keep the LRC Clean – Leave it like
you found it or even better. Our custodial service does
a great job, but we appreciate any help you can provide
in making sure the room is clean after you use it. Excessive
messes will be charged a clean-up fee.
Alcohol & Tobacco Products –
They are not permitted on school property.
Permit & Hold
Harmless Agreement - Sign and return ASAP.
Food & Drink – Please use the
district's catering service. The price is right, the service
is great and the food is delicious. Call (515) 633-5089.
