Sustainable Buildings Programs
Through funding provided by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and Region 7 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Operations service area has developed two unique programs that focus on minimizing the environmental impacts of school operations.

This information is provided to help other school districts implement similar programs, as well as to provide information to parents, students and district staff.

The district received two 2003 Iowa Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards for “Overall Environmental Excellence” and “Special Recognition in Waste Management.”
