School Improvement is an evolving process, which is aimed at advancing student learning and allowing a school to envision its future. If successful learning is to occur, there will need to be continuous improvement in our educational systems. The process of School Improvement will help guide us in making day-to –day decisions and choices that will allow us to become a supportive learning community for ALL students. District goals, long range student achievement goals and continuous professional development are taken into consideration when developing our annual school improvement plans.

Our school's collaborative academic efforts will be to improve students' writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. Crossroads Park teachers will analyze building and classroom writing assessment data to determine students' needs. Teachers will implement Being a Writer program and the 6+1 Traits of Writing framework. Formative assessments will be selected and/or created by teachers to monitor academic progress.
