Crestview 5th Grader Rachel Snodgrass
Honored for Academic Achievement

Congratulations to Crestview 5th grader Rachel Snodgrass! The University of Iowa's Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education recognized Rachel in a recent ceremony for scoring in the top 1 percent on the EXPLORE test. The EXPORE test was developed by ACT Inc. to assess academic development in English, math, reading, and science reasoning. Rachel shared her honor with Kindergarten teacher Robin Nelson whom Rachel credits with being influential in her education. We're proud of you Rachel!

Congratulations and Thank you Doug VanO!

Crestview alum and Valley High School junior, Douglas VanOostenrijk, completed his Eagle Scout project on the grounds at Crestview Elementary. Douglas poured an additional sidewalk leading from the blacktop to the new playground equipment. He also rebuilt the berm on the southside of the blacktop and sowed grass seed to eliminate erosion and keep the mud from sliding down on to the blacktop and sidewalk.  Another great improvement at Crestview on Franklin.  We can’t wait to get back!
