Adventures
Our Adventures program has fun classes, fun teachers and fun enriching experiences for K-8 students after school, in the evenings and on the weekends. Adventures provides a way for students to expand their knowledge or skills in an area of interest and try something beyond the classes that they have during the school day.
Registration
Registration is required for all classes and is taken on a first-come basis. You may register one of the following ways:
Online
Starting with the winter/spring 2013 catalog online registration will look a little different. It will still have the 24/7 convenience of online registration, but it will take place in a new program. Please note that even if you have registered online with us before, you will be required to create a new account. Once your account is created you will be able to use the same login information in the future.

Refunds
There is a $10 charge on all refunds except classes filled or cancelled by the Adventures program. To receive a refund, requests must be made by phone or in writing before the class meets for a second time. For one-night classes, refunds can only be given before the class is held.
Times, Getting to Class, and Supervision
Classes that start at 4 p.m. are scheduled for the convenience of WDMCS district students so they may go directly to the class after the school day has ended. Adventures instructors are not responsible for getting children to the classes. Make sure that your child and his/her teacher know that they need to go to the Adventures class after school. There is no supervision before classes.
Kids West
If your child normally attends Kids West, please let the staff know that your child is going to attend an Adventures class. Make sure your child knows whether to go to Kids West or wait for a ride after the class is over.
Scholarships
Scholarships up to 50% off are available to the WDMCS district residents who qualify. To learn more, please call (515) 633-5001.
Weather Closings
The Adventures program follows the decision of WDMCS for weather-related closings. Call (515) 633-5555 for an up-to-date recording about weather-related cancellations, dismissals, and closings.
