Band bash is for students entering grades six through twelve.  This program provides an opportunity for instrumental music students to develop important skills to be members of elementary, junior high, and Valley High School band.  The program includes private lessons, as well as rehearsal band, with a concert to be held July 25.  Students will also have the opportunity to visit Adventureland to perform and enjoy the park.  This program is taught by Jon Lewis and Greg Simmons.

Summer Jazz Jam Workshop is for those students entering grades seven through nine who wish to learn how to play jazz, focusing on blues, swing, Latin and rock styles.  This program is four days long with an informal concert for parents, family, and friends on the last day.  This workshop is taught by Greg Simmons and guest teachers.

The third program, Summer Strings, is for those students entering fifth through ninth grade.  Private lessons and orchestra practice are offered to students.  The goal of private lessons is to help string students grow in their skills and prepare for more advanced study.  The lessons are taught by Curtis Barr and Joyce Payer.  Orchestra allows students to participate in rehearsals, musicianship classes (including ear training and theory), and sectional rehearsals.  This is an intensive study of orchestra music and listening skills.  The orchestra students will hold a concert at Adventureland on June 21.  The orchestra is taught by Matt Meyer, Curtis Barr, Abby Crisp, and Anne-Marie Webster.
