is my pleasure to welcome you to Clive Elementary School. I am
excited that you are here and look forward to working with you
throughout the school year.
Clive Elementary is a school of approximately 460
students located at 1600 73rd Street in Windsor Heights. We are
proud to be a part of the West Des Moines Schools and to serve
the Urbandale, Clive, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights communities.
Creating a positive learning environment for all children is our top priority. This is accomplished daily through the work of our students, staff, parents, and community.

On Wednesday, September 3rd, students in Julie Pargeon and Barb Drustrup's fifth grade classes participated in the Meals From the Heartland program at Hy-Vee Hall. Students volunteered their time packaging meals to be delivered to children in Belize, El Salvador, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, and Nicaragua. This project provided a hands-on opportunity for students to learn more about the Social Studies standards of demonstrating participatory citizenship and developing a better understanding of cultural awareness. The students and staff enjoyed this opportunity to help others in need.
